Leadenhall Market 2013

The Elevated Art Fair at Leadenhall Market is half way through.  I have been so busy with work before the show that I had forgotten to post this painting I had made.

I have kept my display quite minimal with a feather theme of Sparrows, Pigeons and Angels. The show, in the centre of the Street-market, has been busy with camera crews, city gents, tourists and shoppers.  On Wednesday artist Ray Richardson spent the day quietly painting Staffordshire Bull-terriers on canvases.

Whizzing Along

We are half way into March and this year is really whizzing along.  There are still some traces left of the Kevin Threesaunds show at the Ben Oakley Gallery.  Dartboard, drinks tables, printed walls and bar were the setting for paintings by Ray Richardson, David Bray and Ben Oakley.

New work is planned and on its way while other paintings are now on show including my spray painted Guardian Angel that sits next to a couple of Pam Glew bleached fabric pictures, whose work I really like.  In a couple of weeks time all will change again as we whiz into April.

Urban Barrier

The flyer for the Urban Barrier show says it all, the place the date the time and some of the artists who's  work will be on exhibition.  What it does not say is how pleased I am to have been included.

Diamond Jubilee

I had a really good evening celebrating the Diamond Jubilee at the Ben Oakley Gallery.  Food, drink, music, and good company.  The paintings of Ray Richardson were still on show and added to the atmosphere.

Many of the artists were there and partied on to the DJ compilations till the early hours of the morning.

Talent in the Room

A couple of weeks ago I went to the private view of Ray Richardson's show at the B.O.G in Greenwich.  The show consists of 94 small pictures that have a huge amount of character in them.  All deserve a look so I had to go back as the Private view was packed.  At one point Ray Richardson was being interviewed by the press as I was talking to David Bray while Rowan Newton sat in the corner,Gary Alford was outside the door, Ben Oakley checked the drink supply, Gonny Van Hulst drank the beer and a portrait of Guy Denning starred at me from the wall.
The show is on until the end of October 2011.
