Big Ads in a Small World
I have painted some brown glass bottles for the first time to be in the Big Ads in a Small World show at the Truman Brewery, 8 Dray Walk, London E1 6QA. The show runs from 15th - 27th November 2018. The Ben Oakley Gallery presents seven artists Giles Walker, Word to Mother, Sweler, David Bray, Ben Oakley, Ray Richardson and myself Yvonne Wayling. As well as my bottles there will be some of my work on canvas and black paper along with a selection of oil paintings, prints, sculptures and installation from the other artists. You can even get your drawing skills critiqued by Ben Oakley and David Bray in a sketch for criticism event and receive a certificate.

88 Notes
88 Notes is the title of a show that Donna Poingdestre and myself are putting together with Samo White; artist and owner of Play Dead Gallery. I will be showing some new art on paper and some of my lips on cans and painted faces on bottles. Donna will be showing her paintings that she makes on rolls of Pianola paper. The title of the show comes from the number of notes that are on a Pianola and how music when played evokes memories past, present and future. The show starts from 7pm Friday 14/09/2018 at Play Dead Gallery 131 Highland Road, Southsea, Portsmouth PO4 9EY. All are welcome.

Vertigo
This November I was part of a two woman show at the Ben Oakley Gallery with the lovely Kim Tong. The title of the show Vertigo was about moments of unease and uncertainty and how we try to stabilise while in that altered state.
The show was on for two weeks in November and included large and small canvases as well as several fragile glass objects that I painted. A retro purple glass vase with the spray painted image of an in angel wrapped around it and a murmuration of birds individually painted on transparent paper that overlapped allowing the image of other shapes to blur through.
If you did not get to see the show you can view it on Google Earth by going to 9 Turnpin Lane in Greenwich London and while at street view click on the white arrows that lead you into the Ben Oakley Gallery and look around. You can also go upstairs in the gallery and look at the paintings of all the other artist that show their work there.

New Painting
Finished this painting on canvas a few days ago reworking an old stencil recutting it in places and adding some new parts. The red is a lot more vibrant then on the screen as there are several spraypaint shades of reds in the lips and rose. I have put some hand painted detail in the eyes but only there. Plan to make a few more paintings using these stencils.

Free Art at Dulwich Festival 2015
The last two weekends I have been busy putting out free art in the Dulwich Open House Art Festival. The bottles I put out had my little Ooh! character face painted on them with spray paint and stencil. Each had a small label telling the finder that they were a free piece of art and if they liked it they should take it home.
I left some in pretty flower beds, others in Dulwich Park, one in a library, one in a graveyard, one at an East Dulwich restaurant and one at the Dulwich picture Gallery.
If you did find one of my bottles I hope you took it home with you and that you enjoy it.

Little Painted Bottle
One of a set of Little bottles I painted awhile ago. I plan to make some more of these and new work coming for Leadenhall Market in July.
